Better Weather, Better Mood
My running attitude has definitely picked up of late, a great deal of which is owed to the vastly improved weather. Yes, it’s still pretty brisk out there but the winds have died right down and the last few days have been sunny and bright. I’ve never put much stock in the so-called SAD syndrome (Seasonal Affective Disorder) but it definitely plays a part in your motivation when you have to get out there and run. When the weather is bad, it’s very difficult to have any kind of enthusiasm about getting drenched in a gale-force wind for 20-30 minutes. It makes one quite gloomy, to be honest, which perhaps is apt given how it parallel the weather.
Conversely, when the sun is very much with hat on, a 3-4 mile run becomes something to look forward to, as opposed to just another obstacle in your day.

I also finally remembered to update my online running log. ![]()
